About

Hi, I’m Tanja Glaub, OTR/L and founder of Sprout Occupational Therapy Services, LLC. I bring over 9 years of experience as an occupational therapist, with a primary focus on pediatrics. I earned my Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Texas Woman’s University, located in the Houston Medical Center. I specialize in helping children build independence, confidence, and essential daily living skills through individualized, play-based support. One of my key areas of focus is handwriting development. I work one-on-one with children to improve fine motor skills, pencil grasp, and legibility in ways that are fun, engaging, and tailored to their needs. In addition to my work with children, I also have experience in adult inpatient rehabilitation—supporting recovery, mobility, and functional independence after illness or injury. This experience across age groups enriches my perspective and approach. As a mom of three, I deeply understand the value of practical, compassionate therapy. My goal is to support children and families with care, creativity, and collaboration—helping each child thrive in their own way.

Our Services

Home & School-Based Therapy

At Sprout Occupational Therapy Services, we provide individualized occupational therapy in both home and school settings. Our home-based sessions support children in the comfort of their everyday environment, addressing sensory processing, fine motor skills, handwriting, self-care routines, and emotional regulation. We also partner with private schools to provide on-site services during or after class. In schools, we work closely with teachers to help students access the curriculum, improve participation, and build confidence in the classroom.

Family Collaboration & Whole-Child Care

Your insight as a parent or caregiver is central to your child’s success. We prioritize strong communication and collaboration with families, offering coaching, strategy sharing, and regular check-ins to ensure progress carries over into everyday life. We also coordinate care with teachers, tutors, or other professionals when needed. Each service begins with an evaluation or screening to understand your child’s strengths and challenges, and we continually adapt our approach to support your child’s growth across all settings.

Fine Motor & Handwriting Support

Fine motor development plays a key role in a child’s ability to complete everyday tasks such as cutting, grasping utensils, buttoning clothes, and writing. We support the development of hand strength, coordination, and precision through engaging, play-based activities. For children who struggle with handwriting, we incorporate targeted strategies to improve pencil grasp, letter formation, spacing, and legibility. These skills are embedded into therapy sessions and adapted to fit each child’s learning style, needs, and goals—helping them feel confident and successful in both academic and daily life tasks.

FAQ

What is pediatric occupational therapy?

Occupational therapy helps children develop the skills they need for daily life—like playing, writing, dressing, and managing emotions. Therapy is tailored to each child’s unique needs in areas like fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-regulation, and independence.

What ages do you work with?

I work with children and teens from birth through age 18. While most of my clients are between the ages of 3 and 18, I am equipped to support all ages. For children under 3, families may also qualify for services through Early Childhood Intervention (ECI), and I’m happy to collaborate or provide supplemental support as needed.

Do you accept insurance?

I am currently a private pay practice and do not accept insurance at this time. Payment is due at the time of service.

What are your rates?

The cost of an occupational therapy evaluation is $250. Individual therapy sessions are $150 for 60 minutes and $75 for 30 minutes.

What should I expect during the evaluation?

The evaluation includes a review of your child’s developmental history, observation, standardized assessments, and a written report with recommendations.

Where do sessions take place?

I offer sessions at private schools, in clients’ homes, and occasionally at community locations.

How long are sessions and how often do they occur?

Sessions are typically 30–60 minutes. Frequency depends on the child’s needs.

Do you provide home programs or parent coaching?

Yes! I believe in empowering caregivers with practical strategies they can use at home. I provide individualized home programs and offer ongoing parent coaching as part of my services.

How do I get started?

To begin services, please email me at tanja.glaub.ot@gmail.com. I will respond within 1–2 business days to discuss your needs, provide additional information, and outline the next steps in the intake process.

What kinds of challenges do you help with?

I support children and teens with a wide range of developmental, sensory, and functional challenges. This includes difficulties with fine motor skills (like handwriting, scissor use, and self-care tasks), sensory processing and regulation, emotional control, attention and executive functioning, motor coordination, and feeding concerns.
